Compatible with all physical and virtual Windows environments

ALERT can be installed on physical or virtual workstations running Windows Office or Server (32/64-bit versions).

To check out the complete compatibility list for the different versions of Windows, visit the dedicated section on our support website.

Although virtual environments can be used, the communication methods available may be subject to certain restrictions. For further details, refer to the dedicated section of our FAQ by clicking here.

The ALERTMobile app is available for Android and iOS devices.

Minimum system requirements

Where ALERT is required to operate with other applications and process a large volume of information, you are advised to meet the following hardware configuration requirements to ensure effective performance:

• Quad-core processor (x86/64) running at 2 GHz or higher

• At least 4 GB RAM

• At least 128 GB hard drive

For further information about the minimum software and hardware requirements, click here.

Licensing model

The ALERT license mainly depends on the number of variables that you are looking to monitor in the software. By variable, we mean a source (a simple variable) or a source and a condition (an event or alarm).

The standard version of ALERT is available in seven levels according to the number of alarms that you want to support:

25, 50, 250, 500, 2,500, 10,000 or unlimited.

A specific building version (ALERT Building) is marketed somewhat differently to meet the constraints inherent in this industry. This version is available in levels of 10 variables (from 0 to 100 variables), and then in levels of 100 (100 to 1,000) and finally in subsequent levels of 1,000.

Associated hardware

Although ALERT is a software solution, specific hardware may be required according to the field of application, such as when interfacing with telecoms systems.

According to the chosen type of notification and the technologies available on site, modems (GSM, analog, digital, etc.) may be needed. For further information about the compatible modems and how to set them up, visit our support website.

If all-IP solutions cannot be used when installing ALERT in a virtual environment, IP/serial converters allow certain modems to be used in IP (GSM and analog models).

To protect our software, we use activation licenses that are associated as standard with physical protection keys on USB dongles. If a USB dongle cannot be used, we can also offer software protection keys.
